How to Fix your Squat: Hip Shift

Here is one one of my favorite drills to fix the squat when a hip shift is present. Loop band squats 🏋️‍♀️

The 🔑 here is to go slow, and focus on pushing with both legs equally.

These can be done bodyweight at first, but can also easily be loaded with dumbbells/ kettlebells, and even a barbell.

If there are also some underlying flexibility and strength imbalances, then some other drills may be necessary too.

As always, it’s best to get assessed first. Assess don’t guess! Talk to your PT.

#SSPT 3-step process

1. Identify your diagnosis and what caused it

2. Progress towards a solution.

3. Push Performance and prevent the issue from happening again.
