Upper Trap (Stiff Neck) Drills

Here are some great stretches to help out those upper trap muscles in your neck!

The upper trap stretch: sit on one hand (or put behind your back, or hold onto your chair), and with the other hand gently pull your head to the side. Hold for 30 seconds. Classic stretch.

Pec stretch: A great stretch for posture, and to open up your chest, and take the tension off your upper trap muscles. Find a doorway and you can do one at a time or both at the same time. Vary your angle for a different stimulus on the stretch.

The banded pull apart: A great finisher for this series. After the upper trap is stretched, and the chest is opened up, the banded pull apart will perfectly use the new range of motion to reinforce your flexibility gains!

Iā€™m in need of a šŸ’‡ā€ā™‚ļø!!
